Top Three Thursday – TV Series I’m Eager to Continue…
We live in an age of such good television. It tears me up because I wish I didn’t spend so much time in front of a screen but at the same time I love being able to appreciate a well made show not just because it thrills or entertains but because of its representation, camera angles, humor, writing, delivery, clever plot lines, spontaneity without being out of character, and more! Can you tell I love it?
Well with some time off right now I have filed my TV watching into three camps: the “Need to start watching shows,” the “Have this on in the background shows,” and “Shows I can’t wait to continue!”
This brings me to today’s T3:
TV Series I’m Eager to Continue
[and you should start if you haven’t seen]
Honorable Mention: Jessica Jones – Season 2
- This one hits honorable mention because I KNOW I’m going to watch it all, but I’m sort of dreading it. I won’t lie, the first season took me a while to get through. There are some characters I loved but some write-offs with them that I didn’t. It’s was tough for me to finish the first season but now with that out of the way [and with the way it ended, no spoilers] I’m not sure I’m going to be any more invested in this season.
3) Broadchurch – Season 3
I am super curious what this season will entail! The way season 2 ended could go either way. Will the main story line of the previous two seasons continue or will they go in another direction? How much more tragedy can this town face without feeling contrived? Do I really care, because honestly I’ll watch anything with David Tennant in it. (Ex. Jessica Jones)
2) The Good Place – Season 2
If you haven’t seen season 1 of this show, you absolutely MUST! It’s hilarious and awesome. I’m sad that season 2 isn’t on Netflix yet but it is available on other platforms. I have to seek it out because sometimes you need a trustworthy hilarious show.
1) Luke Cage – Season 2
ONE MORE DAY!!! I have been avoiding the trailer for season 2 because I didn’t want any spoilers. Well this morning I accidentally watched it and it was everything. Compelling, humorous, intriguing. I know what I will be doing all day tomorrow! FOR SCIENCE!
