Top Three Thursday – Kitchen Favorites

Well well well, we meet again Thursday!

So I’ve clearly been cooking up a storm this week. Making up for lost time, I suppose. While I’ve been accumulating kitchenware since college, I find myself gravitating to, you guessed it, THREE things in particular. Here are the top three things I could not live without in my kitchen!

Honorable Mention:

You’ve seen me use them in my recipe for brussels sprouts already, these metal bowls are my LIFE in the kitchen even when it is simply to keep it clean. They are great for blanching, ice baths, chocolate melting/ganache making, and they are easy to clean, durable, and look just fine in a summer tablescape. Did I mention the nesting? Yay for space!

3rd Place:

Williams-Sonoma used to sell these mini spatula and “spoonula’s” in a trio set. Now they sell them in duos and they are slightly larger in size. I still absolutely LOVE my old mini-trio. They are sturdy, small enough to get into any jar, and I use them ALL the time.

2nd Place:

I think I’m seeing a pattern developing. Williams-Sonoma sells this as a “fish spatula,” but I use it for almost everything [for everything else, tongs]. I love this because it is a single piece. ONE! No weird connectors that bend then end up flipping your food into mid-air, no small food bits stuck underneath those screws. ONE PIECE. It’s amazing, flexible, and it thins out perfectly to get under delicate food without destroying it. So beautiful! Did I mention easy to clean?

1st place:

You guys! I can’t even tell you why I bought these. I was working at Williams-Sonoma and 2 pans seemed like a deal for the price. Almost a decade later and I still always have something going in these pans. Even though they are the best non-stick I’ve ever had, I have taken to wrapping them in foil because I’m all about that easy clean-up nowadays. The best thing? They both fit in my oven side by side. I can have a packet of chicken tenders, all seasoned differently cooking next to the accompanying side. Lunch for the week! No warping, no dents, just all around awesome pans that depending on the week get near daily use. These definitely win the title of Kitchen Favorite!
